You can now easily edit Office files right from Gmail. Gmail has recently acquired Google Docs, which allows you to search and upload many document types such as PDF, Word, Excel, and more. 

Google Docs gives business users the ability to manage and create documents in various formats like PDF, Word, and more. Plus, the feature also lets you edit a document from your smartphone, tablets, and more through the internet.

To edit Office files in Gmail, first, you will need to find the search box. On the top right corner of the search box, you will see a logo with four boxes. Click on one of the boxes to open that folder. You will then see a tree of folders with the root folder being called “Docs”. You can then click on the plus sign next to the plus sign icon to expand the folder and display all the documents you want to work on from your own Google Docs account.

Open each document up in your favorite word processor. If you would like to search all documents on your computer, just hit the search button. If you want to search only a certain type of document, just enter that text box and look through the search results. Once you have opened each document in your preferred word processor, you will be asked to save the document by clicking the save button. You will then be able to see all the documents in your account. You will need to confirm that you want to keep the document online by clicking on the save tab.

One thing to keep in mind when editing your documents in Gmail. If you make any changes, be sure to save them again. Google Docs automatically saves your changes. The problem is that some documents aren’t automatically saved when you save them, such as PDFs.

In order to save the documents to your account, just click on the Gmail icon located at the top right-hand corner of the screen. Select the add-in extensions option. This option will allow you to select various document add-in extensions to customize your documents. 

There are currently several available extensions. These include code snippets, full-width charts, and image map indicators.

To add an extension, click on the extension you want and select Import from Gmail in the drop-down menu. Once you have selected the extension, you will see an option for installing the file. Click Install and it will be added to your account. You can verify the installation by going to the add-in extensions section. If you encounter any problems, you can email the Google Help Center.

Open the file you want to change in Microsoft Word. You will see the Save As option. Use the arrow keys to choose the new file option and enter a name for the document. Once you have saved the file, you can go ahead with the changes by selecting the text box on the lower right-hand corner of the page and clicking the button Save tab.
